My suggestion would be to run a SEARCH on your questions. You will find MORE THAN ENOUGH info cruising a couple year's worth of reel/rod/line/lure selections than one thread could possibly provide you.

Rick,

Check out this contest we ran last year, it's basically a "how to" outfit for the newly minted muskie fisherman. You might not want to spend $1000 on gear to start, but this gives you a good idea of how others would start the madness fresh.

Good luck, welcome to the site, and to the addiction.

Thanks Andrew for the welcome and info.
That list is of lures and equipment for the contest is great.

I started doing a lot of the reading..Man there is so much info out there. ;>)

Most likely start with one rod and reel combo for muskie.

If you were going to get one "all-aroud" rod.. The quistion I have is not the brand -- But what - LGTH - Power - Lure wt. - etc --??

Sorry about all the questions..
Thanks for all your help.

Rick
