Ulterra Noise when Turning Right

My Ulterra, last couple times out, makes a fairly loud noise turning right, while virtually silent turning left. I am temporarily without a tow vehicle or would take to the dealer. He did say he didn't think it sounded serious but to bring in if I want it checked.

Anyone else experience this? No grinding or anything.

Eventually they leak water, and get noisy. Have you seen any brown or rusty liquid near the motor or dripping on the bow?

No, nothing like that. And again, it only is noisy turning right. But, it did start after it sat outside for several weeks at the dealer while they were waiting parts. Normally on the lift or in garage.

Steering motor needs to be replaced. Simple fix if you’re handy.

If it comes to that, still under warranty.

I had mine do that last year at the end of the season. I took it in to an authorized service center and they said it was the steering motor. It was under warranty, so they replaced it.

It is now starting to get noisy again when turning right. Since it's no longer under warranty, I'm going to let it go and see if it gets worse and what the "final" effects of this will be.

Mine has not gotten worse, have decided to keep using it and take in after I am done for the year.

For those that have had this problem with a noisy right turn, do you use a bracket so support the trolling head when it is stowed? I'm trying to figure out what might cause this issue. The first time I noticed this was on a really rough water day and there was a lot of bouncing between spots. Of course, it could have been that the noise is REALLY noticeable when Spot-Lock is having a hard time keeping you motionless (which also happens on windy days).

Thoughts?

Mine does the exact same thing turning right, bought brand new in March. I have Active Target mounted on it and thought that was the culprit. Still works fine, but man is it loud.
