| October "Musky" Fest Tournament | |||
| Description : | The Ocotober "Musky" Fest Tournament is held in Rhinelander, WI. The tournament is held as a benefit tournament for the American Diabetes Association. $150 entry fee with a maximum of 60 boats. A minimum of about 90% of the entries paid out with a maximum of 10% used for advertising and other misc incidentals for the tournament. A mandatory registration and rules meeting is held on Friday night. This must be attended by at least one member of each team. On Saturday night there is a banquet with a free buffet meal provided. After the meal there are raffles and this year there should be silent auctions as well. 100% of the raffle money is donated to the American Diabetes Association. A big fish contest is run for both days with 100% of that money paid out as well. This is a very fun, yet competetive, tournament which is the ONLY tournament in the Rhinelander area to use 100% judge boat fish registration. NO transport of fish is allowed. ALL fish must be released. A variety of lakes are used in the Rhinelander area and it is a random draw as to which lakes you will be fishing. This makes it fair to all contestants and also makes pre-fishing extremely challenging. Last year there were nothing but great compliments for how the tournament was run. ALL anglers who fished the tournament had a great time and all teams had a chance at fish.
