The fish of 10,000 backlashes Confessions of a Slimer Addict |

It is time.... Next week I hope to be pounding the water for a day with someone we all know..... For now, the nuts have left the river and all is quiet. I'm gonna go and see if a certain ski or two are setting up where they taunted me from last season... That and catch a few non muskie type fish into the bargain.... |

Friday evening, after work was the time, the site of the lost muskie was the place. This time no whimpy 6 lb line, I was ready for the midsized brute that broke off last time we tangled.... It was a pleasant night to be out, and my reluctant friend was too afraid of me with proper tackle. Did I catch her? Well, it sure was peacful fishing till dark......... The fish of at least 300 casts stayed put. Add Comment (0 replies) |

The MWC is in town, or at least the advanced wave of pre fishing anglers.... I was able to look over a Crestliner, Muskie Edition rig....nice boat... To the point at hand, I was able to tangle with a nice ski in the Menominee River yesterday. Nice fish somewhere in the 38-40 inch class I'd guess... but alas, my six pound line decided to not stay connected and after a quick flip of the tail, the fish was gone as suddenly as it appeared to smash my tube jig. I think I actually saw it flip me off too! I bet Muskies do that stuff just for fun....... Add Comment (0 replies) |
