Just to dispell a little rumor here: we at MuskieFIRST are not AGAINST any other website. We OBVIOUSLY compete with other sites, saying otherwise would be a lie. However, we're not like ANTI-Nut, or ANTI-101, or ANTI-MHM. We do compete for your attention, but we do fully realize that other sites are just a click away.

We truly believe that we will get, and keep your attention by consistently offering a high quality product for your (the user) viewing. I can GURANTEE we will screw a bunch of things up. We'll probably (though this was a goal to not do for 2006) make promises that we won't keep. We'll probably owe people stuff that they won in contests, auctions, etc., and it will probably take an inordinant amount of time to get to you.

When it comes to the above, I gurantee you we're working on improving, but at times, we suck. However, we're going to try to do what we do as well as we can. If that makes us the best, then yay for us. If others are doing whatever that is, better than we are, then we can just try to get better at whatever that is.

We will NOT attempt to be everything for everyone. That is the beauty of having a number of choices of sites to view, and become involved in. We might like to think that MuskieFIRST offers something for everyone, but we are probably wrong in that to some degree. There are things, call them qualities, of the other boards that we are not going to try to imitate. There are probably things (lets loosely call them "policies") that M1st does, that those who run the other sites think are down right stupid.

Each different board reflects, and attracts a different kind of personality. And, in some cases, that makes MuskieFIRST look better, for others, that may make us look worse.

We're just going to try to be who we are, who we have been, and try to get better at that!

Slamr, I agree. We do what we can when we are able, and make no APOLOGIES FOR THAT. I get a major kick out of the elitists wh think they can dictate who is or is not 'worthy' of their or the general public's attention. Newsflash, elitists, no one cares what you think on that issue except for the other elitists, and making a huge deal of it will simply brand you as unfriendly, snobbish, and self absorbed. If that's the image you are after, go for it, but I'd avoid you like the plague.

Gee, if a question is answered by someone you feel is inferior to your incredible store of muskie ability, then let them have their answer and opinion, and add yours. Or, start your own website and force everyone to be like you there. That way you will be secure from the riff raff like me.
