Well the season is coming to a close. I've taken some time to reflect back on one heck of a season.

It all started with a little 25-27 incher caught below the spillway while fishing for walleyes and smallmouth. Nothing to brag about but it was fun either way.

Then I headed out west for the summer. Sorno introduced me to the west by taking me out on Pineview. I caught my first Tiger musky ever. I dont remember the lenght, but if I had to guess I'd put it at about 27.5 inches. I think all the tigers I caught measured 27.5 inches...but the fish werent important. Spending time in the boat with Sorno was a blast. I just wish I could have been there for his 51 inch monster. Simply an awesome fish. Congrats buddy, you deserve it!!

Once I returned from my adventures in Utah I spent some time up north with Tim. I didnt catch anything but we had a pretty great time fishing, drinking and mowing the lawn at 3 am.

Once I got back to school I got some time to fish a lot more. I caught several fish in the river and some pretty nice fish to boot. I met a few guys that fish the river around here, and got to get pictures for a new friend of his 3 fish day which included fish on back to back casts.

The PI outing was a blast. Tim and I caught some nice fish, but the best part was hanging out with a bunch of M1st guys. Although sunday morning was not fun.

This fall I got to meet Tom Betcka and fish Green Bay with him a few times. Each time I've fished with him I've topped my personal best. The best part is just sharing time with Tom in the boat. We've talked about getting me a musky related grad school project. That would be awesome.

Simply put the best season I've ever had. The fish are just a bonus. Friendships forged this season are the best part. Thanks to everyone that has been kind enough to take me out fishing. I hope I can return the favor in the future!

Maybe we can get you a pile of 31.5"ers next summer!

It's a fun ride, ain't it?
