I have a robohandle
and it was had to much play for my rods, it is on my net where it will stay. I like the concept of a pistol grip on my rods and after seeing Aaron Techlins prototype grip in person I am waiting patiently for them to be available.

Patiently waiting......for a handle designed for fishing, as oppose to the one designed for painting with a roller.

Robohandle also makes a pistol grip designed specifically for a fishing rod, look at the picture I posted and you can stop waiting. It is solid as a rock. We use that on the rods and the ROBOHANDLE on the net.

These things are awesome. I broke my wrist and couldn't even turn it to hold onto the rod with the cast on, so I bought one of these and I can throw every lure I use to throw even pounders. I have also caught 2 fish with it on and it hasn't loosened at all. If you put it on like they show u in a video it is great thing to have I strongly recommend it.

After building up the robohandle pistol grip with electrical tape, it is much more comfortable to handle. I was able to throw big blades much longer than without it with very minimal pain. My trigger finger didn't even act up. These types of handles are going to be game changers. The only issue is storage, a rod locker full of rods with pistol grips will get tricky but so far I only need one for my bucktail rod.
