Posts: 27 | Pikemaster, Any experience with the Okuma 471? Trying to decide between regearing a tranx pg to the hs gear, or purchasing a 471. Main purpose is burning double 8's and the occasional 10's. Any idea how these two compare for cranking power if I use the 10's all day. ALso will be dropping off a few reels at the MSP show. Thanks.

The Tranx is the most powerful But it is Big The Okuma 450 looks like a solid reel Will not have the same power of a Tranx but should be close.

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | MuskieFever - 4/9/2017 5:37 PM What are your thoughts on the Daiwa Lexa 400 HD 7.1:1 comapared to the Tranx 400 7.6:1 for pulling topwater, rubber, and jr. DCGs? Both are Great Reels for Rubber, the 400 Tranx is a smaller reel compared To the Lexa, check them out at a store to see which one fits your hand better. I real like the Shimano Tranx 300 400 and 500 Tranx Reels.

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | MuskieFever - 4/11/2017 1:17 PM Thanks. Any concerns with blades for either reel? I would never use a reel with 7 gears for Blades Get 5 gears for Blades I real Like the Shimano Tranx in the 300 or 400

Posts: 1 | Hi Richard, I'm looking for a power handle for a pluton, 8x5mm same as luna. I see you have sold some in the post from this forum. Do you still do them and what are the details, swept, Eva, length etc. There's so much junk out there and few suppliers up here north of the border. Thanks
