Real fish skin ?
Do you use it for trolling , or as a crankbait ?

Mostly airbrush work? I think it's more like, mostly a real image pasted on the sides then some blending on top and bottom. PS. You could get a little better match for the scale pattern. There's no doubt it looks nice, but let's be real.

Don
I don’t sell any of my baits I only like to do this for a hobby but I have been asked quite a few times to sell my baits, so I'm considering selling a few in the near future.

Very nice work no matter how he did it.

The blend of different scale work is really what sets it off. Subtle colors not gaudy flames and such. Soft golds and light browns mixed with an off white. I love it. Now I have to try to make something half as nice ha ha ha .

Really guys I did think this was forum where you had to explain your lures, I made one comment about (mostly airbrushed) to someone who asked if it was a real fish skin and I have to type an essay, I said nothing about it was not a image I didn’t want to go into depths on how I painted the lure I was trying to keep it short and simple, BUT here it is I printed the image on tissue paper everything shows through the tissue paper once its applied to the lures so the background must be airbrushed to match the tissue paper image you have to try and match it fairly close or it turns into one big mess once the clear coat soaks through the tissue paper, that’s why I said what I said about the lure is mostly airbrushed , believe it or not there a lot of airbrush work in the lure to get it to the point where you can apply the tissue paper. The tissue paper conform to lure very nice and no sanding or filler is need just blending/shading/netting and eyes once you get to this point, I hope this helps and thank you for your comments. please send me a pm if you need any more info

The only thing you need to explain to me is.... How fast can you ship that bait out to me? LOL!

Awesome work! Please keep posting your art. I could look at it all day!

Great job Scotty,
No explanation needed, IMHO. Don't waste your time, describing details.
Looking forward to see more of your work.

Knooter - not sure if how many others got your reference to "Anchorman" but I did...hilarious! Macone, your work looks awesome and you shouldn't worry about explaining it to anyone....I'd be in line to buy one from you as well.

I did too. I just hope nobody got stabbed in the heart with a trident...

I always look at these baits and never comment. You guys do great work, whatever the technique!

I was one who asked if it was a decal or not, but in NO way was I trying to bring your work down. I have seen the stuff you have done in the past and commented on the nice work you do. The decal work is very impressive for sure and takes a certain skill, just like foiling. Its ALL art as far as I'm concerned!

Macone, you don't need a drawn out explination to proove anything...let your work speak for itself!
