Anyone throwing bass spinner baits in the spring, if so what ones?
Also interested to hear other methods than the typical rattletrap in the spring lol

I've historically done extremely well on bass jerk baits in the shallows, stuff like the megabass 110 and kanata, as well as strike king 200s. Additionally, I've caught fish on jigs.

I like the Dirty Jigs 3/8-1 oz Swim Jigs with a Kalins Triple Threat on it. More than once I've caught more Muskies than Smallmouth on an outing on the swim jigs.

Figure 8 Tackle has some very nice downsized spinnerbaits for spring time. The Mini and Micro Boss spinnerbaits have held up well for me.

Personally, I love to throw buckeye lures mop jigs because they have a long skirt which makes a big profile. The 3/8 size is money cause it has a slow fall, once you slap a 5-6” Paddletail on the back to slow the fall even more you really have a sweet bait. This setup can be more improved by a 4/0 VMC ike approved trailer hook

Not a spinnerbait but duo realis has a line they call fangbaits that are oversized bass baits they make for stuff like fishing the Amazon or saltwater. They are super tough and are designed to run with heavy wire hooks. The 5.5” jerkbait is my favorite, it’s a floating bait so easier to fish around shallow spring spots. Wire through and a solid body like a slammer so it doesn’t get destroyed like a lot of bass baits. I know they have an oversized popper and a few other baits too.I throw it on a 9’6” Thorne stealth mh and can fight fish like a real musky bait. There’s times that bass baits work but I really don’t like trying to target a fish with light wire hooks and light rods. Especially when they are just coming off of the spawn a long fight really isn’t good for the fish

Another good one is the river2sea s waver 168
