| All the fisherman from Northwest PA/Southwest NY and NE Ohio, which body of water so you guys think is better? I've been planning a trip to the area this summer and was wondering which one people thought was better, or if there was another body of water that people think is better. |

| Howdy,
You do realize that there are horsepower restrictions on Pymatuning. I only mentioned it just in case your boat doesn’t have a small enough kicker or regular motor on it.

Location: Athens, Ohio | Both are large lakes and when storms come up they can get real fast. With a small jon boat with only a trolling motor I'd find much smaller water. Consider West Branch or over to Clear Fork. m |

Yup, my small jon boat only has a trolling motor and it's all electric.
Since your going off electric, that area of PA offers at least 8 (quick count in my head) smaller bodies of water that would better fit an trolling motor driven boat.
Stay away from the unlimited HP lakes, those get over run with pleasure boats unless your fishing early morning/ after dinner hours. |

Location: PA Angler | Chautauqua I would never go back to IMO. Pymatuning is very good to fish like mentioned big body of water to cover but if you know how to troll for them can be good. Lake labeouf small and can be good to float around. Which if you go let me know how you do. Allegheny River I can give you some spots but with the wrong boat you cannot fish the whole river as it is very shallow in areas. Need a jet and flat bottom boat. |

| Ok, I would definitely be interested in the Allegheny, though I'm not sure how to really fish a river for musky. I've heard right below the Kinzua dam is a good spot in the Allegheny National forest. My boat is a flat bottom and sits maybe 6 inches in the water at most, though my trolling motor does sit down about a foot in the water. |

Location: PA Angler | In the summer (hot days) the river is hard fishing as it is very shallow in most parts. Below the dam is good fishing for a lot of things. But even then they get tricky. I have a place in tionesta and do my fishing around there.
Fishing the river for them would be casting in the weed beds or big rocks that are in the waters. |
