Location: Mt. Zion, IL | when looking for majors and minors this past week, I found out my standby (US-Primetimes) is no longer web hosting. Their times were spot on for majors and minors as proven by my catch records.
When looking this week, in-fisherman, solunar forecast, and tides-pro all had different times for majors and minors. Can someone help me get a reliable source for this info? |

| Steve, as an avid ice fisherman, do you refer to the Solonar tables when planning hard water fishing? While I always check them during the soft water season, never have really paid any attention during ice season. |

Interesting. With pan fish, I have noticed a change in the bite when wind changes as a result of barometric change but never have really paid attention to majors/minors when ice fishing. Thanks, will have to remember that for next year.

| For years I went to the Musky Hunter web sight and printed my maps and one year I bought John Alden Knights from R&H the same year I bought Moon Up Moon Down by John Alden Knight.
Last fall I took a trip to the Hayward area my first trip up north in a long time and it was late October and the weather was all over the place. Heavy rain, sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, snow flurries, and several times a day a rain shower. The last morning our reels would freeze. We stayed on the Flowage and fished with a guide for four days, Day one flowage no fish, day two another lake we each got one, day three flowage no fish, day four back to the same lake as day two and I got one on a jigging lure after my freezing problems with my reel. So we got three nice fish in four days, all the fish were caught when the sun was shining poking thru party cloudy skies and all the fish were caught on off peaks. We were there for the full moon period. |
