Subject: Trolling Wake Baits?

Have never owned a wake bait, thought they were for bass only. Recently became aware of larger wake baits that would work for musky. My understanding is that they run quite shallow with a lot of movement. Seems that would be a good bait to troll in shallow water. Anyone have experience doing this? Due to age and a medical issue I expect to increase my time trolling as opposed to casting, so trying to put together more baits, techniques to try.
Thanks for any help.

If it's moving and free of weeds, eventually a fish is going to eat it. Why not with a wake bait?

Was out on a "secret" action lake in my kayak last summer, moving spot to spot, threw a topraider behind me, peddled about 12' and BAM!

Isn't a Hawg Wobbler a wake bait?

Search out baits that "wander" in the wake. Means the bait shoots out to one side or the other, stays there for a moment, then comes back center, over and over.

See that work on shark week every summer, dragging seal decoys for big whites. Trolling a wake bait or dragging a rodent or minnow decoy/lure would be similar. Should work, apex predators just doing their thing. Kdawg
