I am in interested in maybe picking up a couple of these. Does anyone have any good thoughts about either one? Any success and applications? Looking at the single blade 8. Not really much difference on length but some difference in weights I noticed.

Thanks again

The Pugsly is similar to the one I build. You can view it in basement baits ,page 2, winter projects.

Have had excellent success with these style baits, both in Canada casting, and trolling back in the states.

Excellent control trolling over thick weeds. Depth of Rod tips in the water is where it runs at short line length’s. The more line you let out, the shallower it runs because of lift….at least, that’s how my custom bouancy Bucktail’s performed. I mostly use single 9&10 blades!

Both are good baits. The Spanky Pugsly has 2 hooks and has a better hook up rate.
Alot of fish will T-bone or head hunt these baits. Most of the muskys I catch on the Pugslys are on the front hook.
This one from Team Rhino is a good one during the day for me-https://teamrhinooutdoors.com/products/spanky-baits-pugsly-8?_pos=13&_sid=d7b2af857&_ss=r&variant=39401944612929
This one is killer in the dark or low light-https://teamrhinooutdoors.com/products/spanky-baits-pugsly-8?_pos=13&_sid=d7b2af857&_ss=r&variant=39401944776769
