| Reading about the air quality on the destination' s threads, I've noticed one thing, at least in my area of nw wis. was there were hardly any bugs. I did not see any ticks so far, which is almost unbelievable. You could sit outside in the morning with a cup of joe and not get attacked by a horde of mosquitos. No biting bloodsucking black flies either and I also have not seen any hornets nests on my property yet either. I guess you just take the good with the bad, especially if you have breathing issues,but no biting or bloodsucking insects, cool with me. Kdawg |

Huh. Earlier this summer, in the Rhinelander area, we had tons of mosquitoes, paper even ran a story about why there were so many. We had record snow and apparently that was the cause. Ticks seem about normal. Deer flies were horrible for a couple weeks in marshy areas. Consider yourself fortunate! |

| Worst mosquito season in years here in southern Ontario. Morning, noon or night those little bastards are everywhere. Smoke from the forest fires in Quebec have had zero effect on them. |

Location: E. Tenn | Skeeters were rough both in N. WI, last month, and W. ON the first half of July... I swatted at something on my arm up in WI, in June and nailed three black flies..
I'm hoping for an early frost/freeze in the Northwoods.. |

| We've had a lot of rain so if you go out in the evening to beat the heat you get chewed on big time. |

| No bugs here. Haven't seen more than a mosquito or two all spring/summer. No rain = no bugs. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The bugs here in township of Pelican are much better than earlier this year. I was just out reorganizing the boat from a 3 person crappie trip last night, not a bug to bother me. |

| Just got back from Emo, ON. No bug issues to speak of. Prior to that over the 4th was in NW WI. Skeeters in the woods but on the lake were were in short sleeves and no issues. |
