Years back, there was a fishing show with Trev Gowdy, where he pursued monster fish, which he called The One. Might that be the reference? Or has the long winter just gotten to the OP?

I'm sure it's a reference to Josh Borovsky's new bucktail called "the one." A uniquely designed head with interchangeable blades that rides on a piece of square tubing running through the head. I'll be buying one.

Globes that spun on square tubing were really great baits.

I wonder how the blade wear will be with that Clevis
My Musky Frenzy Bucktail’s, clevis is hard on the Indiana blades.
Three weeks of fishing in Canada and I have them wear out and fall off.

The plan, I think, it to sell them at the MN Musky Expo. Then have them available at their website.

Innovatice, square tubing adds a new sound!... able to change blades is a plus!
$60 plus shipping not so friendly.....Will there be a line at his booth at the expo?
another new hot bucktail. I remember the lines at Kramer Brothers for a couple years.

I think its cheaper in the long run,,factor in the change out clevis you can buy a couple tails light and dark and then switch blades dbl 8s,8/9,9/10 dbl colorados, dbl Indiana's, Colorado/ Indiana, whatever/whatever and in any color, even put your car keys on there,,,Versatile and alot less stuff to cram in tackle box to bring on a trip.

That’s kind of the whole point of a bait like this is to give a different vibration and look. I’ve seen how powerful the frenzy stuff is, especially when you modify it to change the grind, these last two years. I’ll definitely be buying one, should have the benefit of running great with it being a single clevis like a frenzy, and should give a pretty unique sound with it being square over the wire.

At least in my experience these last two years, having something different with the sound of a bucktail can make a big difference when you’re on pressured fish

It isn’t a cheap bait. In case folks want to see what it looks like, the website is…

It's cheap if you're catching fish on it. It's unique and the sound/vibration it gives off will be good for those who throw blades a lot. I would imagine finding the right blade combination will be gold on this bait.

Definitely an interesting bait. Mine came with a #8 Colorado and a #8 (#9) Indiana blade. It came a few weeks ago, and I then got a circlip pliers so I can switch blades easily (FYI: Knipex part 46 21 A01. This is the one with the spring in the handle, which I like.). Black skirt/Chart blades can easily turn into black/gold, black/10's. I'm gonna see about a big willow blades, too, although willow blades might not flare out enough away from that clevis. We'll see if the clevis interferes with them or not.

Lots of experimentation possible. Just need to keep a little Plano of blades in the boat and the circlip pliers in my tool box. Oh...and probably should have a few extra retaining clips in there two. The chances of them winging away into the lake is pretty high with my clutzy fingers.

not to knock the bait, but I don't see them outperforming anything else, each bucktail from one to the next has a different sound, Frenzys don't sound like Kramers, Kramers don't sound like Dadsons etc etc.. there is no magic bullet for muskies in my opinion. will it work sure, of course. it's a bucktail!!! will fish bite it over another bait on the same cast at the same time? doubtful... just my opinion...
look how Cowgirls ruled the market initially then it's another one and another one. I have caught fish on about every brand and don't catch any less fish on any other brand. We catch fish on the baits we throw and have confidence in. period.
Neat idea, I don't have the patience to change stuff out. It's easy to change a spinnerbait blade yet I have 40 spinnerbaits

Does this mean you won’t be buying “the one” then?

Love the idea, loling at the snap rings, same stuff we use on U-joints for outdrives so those will hold.

Will I buy one, no. Do I hope Josh has a better financial standing, of course, I respect and take what he says seriously.

Once, again BNelson asks the right questions.

"Sound"matters no doubt.Suppose common sense would dictate the question really is whether a sound is new enuf to make a difference.A rare thing. The 'Cowgirl"is the last example IMO and in many decades I've only seen a couple others.
Will I try it?Of course I will.IMO foolish not to.
Why?For me it's because I've known Josh for decades and I believe what he says the lure did on a tough pressured fishery. We'll see,but strikes me as unlikely something wasn't going on that was/is different.A few sheckles will not keep me from finding out for myelf.

New lures at times can really catch fish, but so can the old ones. Maybe where you throw VS what you throw.
