Looking for a southern destination to chase some muskies the weekend of the 18th-20th of Feb (wife will be out of town).
Open to small rivers to kayak in, too.
Doesn't have to be giant chasing, just looking to scratch the itch. |

Location: Lebanon,Mo | Kinkaid should pickup end of Feb as long as it doesn't get really cold before then. Rattletrap bite will be the main focus end Feb till mid March. I plan to be over there a couple times during that period. |

Location: Mississippi | Center Hill Lake, Melton Hill Reservoir, Watts Bar Reservoir and my favorite lake is Parksville Lake (Ocoee). Muskies are reaching near the 40" mark, but if you are lucky enough to time it just, right, you can be surprised with multiple Muskies a day. It is a beautiful lake with a Canadian charm, a lot of rock shoreline with laydowns and is only 2,000 acres. I like to fish the far east of the lake in Sylco bay and creek area. I have never fished Collin River, but it looks good, beautiful river! |

| Collins River is made for you Kayak. Easy launching and easily reached productive areas. In addition, Great Falls Lake is just below the dam. Both offer numbers and a good chance for a mid-40s fish.
Melton Hill has a better population and a better chance for an upper 40s fish. However, It is bigger water than the 2 mentioned, but it is doable.
I fished all of the above and did the best on Melton Hill. The power plant no longer operates, but the fish still use the same trees in both the main river and many of the hollows.
