Posts: 359 Location: SW Ohio | Dammit......we've all uttered those words when Musky fishing. Plus, when the dog doesn't listen it won't be confused when you holler "c'mere, dammit!".

Cowboy, does us a favor and post what name you decide on, along with a pic. Think folks could use more puppy pictures.

Posts: 77 | We had a Golden Retriever named Jackpot. Over the years we just called him Jack. My son named him Jackpot after the bait he caught his very first musky on. He lived a long great life & passed away a few years ago. Miss him everyday.

I see a lot of folks fishing with their dog, the dog patiently sitting and watching. Always wonder how you train a dog to do that.

dtaijo174 - 1/20/2021 1:04 PM So hunting dogs make bad boat dogs? I know my nephew, who is hard core musky fisherman, found that to be true with his yellow lab. Dog is very well trained, well behaved on land. But, he could not break the dog from jumping overboard and going after a hooked musky. I was surprised because the dog followed every command on land but apparently none in the boat.
