Looks like the weather for the next couple weeks is about making ice without snow. Who's iced in?

Was out today, did a little ice fishing. Ranged from 4 to 6 inches, with deeper ice nearer shore. Stayed away from current areas.

I crunched thru a skim of ice yesterday morning on an Ohia lake; got a 28" and saw a bigger one floating. m

Checked a couple area lakes today, one has walkable ice everywhere, and the other, a 500-acre lake, has 5" in the bays and some open water in the center. Looks like after Tuesday night after 2 days of single-digit nights, most will be safe in the bays for sure. End of the week all should be good.

Anywhere from 6 to 10 inches on most smaller lakes here. Pushing a foot in Upper Red where I was a couple weekends ago. Wheelers good to go everywhere I’ve been last week. Had -7 this morning... likely put out the permanent this weekend just in time to get away from work over Christmas break!
