Only got out a couple of times in Aug due to the heat. Lost one fish. That’s it. On to Sept...

Spent 4 days at dads Hayward cabin. My 14 year old Emma spent the last day musky fishing with Lauren(my 12 year old fishing partner) and I. She got her biggest at 7:30PM on 8/13/2020, on topwater.

Consider this one picture, as it is of the same fish. After catching her biggest earlier, Lauren had a big fish miss her lure. She swore it was big, so I agreed to stick around knowing we had a long ride. The sun-set, and Emma made the right cast. Slup, ugh, "Oh Geez, it won't reel dad!". When I saw the head shakes, I knew was decent one. Luckily pinned good. 48.5" Emma was so excited, as was Lauren for her sister. Both know that this will likely never happen again, which made it even more special. Red eye ride home that night as I had to work the next morning, but worth it. Only drawback was my promise that they could control the radio on trip home if they caught a fish..

Great photo! She looks both excited and a bit frightened. Lots of adrenaline. Fun story and good on you for honoring the radio promise.

Intersting you took notice. She was freaked at the moment of the photo. She had been standing, and the fish flopped, slamming her in the chest, knocking her to a sitting position, and a perfect photo op. She quickly sent it swimming after the pic.

Awesome fish and pictures Jason,
My sons have been musky fishing about 5 yrs now, with a few close calls but no fish in the boat yet.

It is for you now, but not for everyone else. Telling you for a friend.

Been really busy, will get to it and get an October thread going.

Just kidding, of course your images are in the running. It's a random draw so everyone has a chance.

Congrats.

He had posted something but took it down, like me he must have known it would be the kiss of death. I waited as long as I could.
