| Staying on white birch lake next week with the family and wondering if anyone knows of a lake close by where I can get my 9 year old some "easy" pike so he can work on tossing lures without too much boredom. Thanks for any suggestions,

Location: oswego, il | There is a boat ramp on fishtrap lake next to whittig's resort. Go down the river it's full of small pike. spinnerbaits and small topwaters should serve you well. |

| Ok cool, I'm familiar with Witigs, stayed there years ago. Only fished Fishtrap and High Lake for musky so thanks for the river suggestion!

Location: Sycamore, IL | Plum lake down by the old pier is usually loaded with small pike. We camp in the area and when we need a quick fish fry that's where we go. Have fun! |

| Awesome, thanks! He's able to cast lures but obviously bails on them for worms to get some action. I thought if he could score a 20 inch pike or something it would hold his interest and he'd be more apt to work on it. We release anything we catch to so we're not going to blow up anyones spot...lol
