Problems with my yamaha T-8 turns over when i trim it down not up the key is not in and i even pulled the emergency cord need help puzzled.or does someone no of a website for help.Thanks Terry

Sounds like a shorted wire harness, look for damage to the wire harness from keyswitch to the motor.

You have voltage crossing somewhere between the two circuits. A stuck relay? Let me see if I can dig up a wiring diagram. What year is it?

You have a shorted tilt solenoid. The 12 volt signal for your starter solenoid runs through the trim down solenoid. I would start with replacing that, should be $30-$40 part (just guessing).

Thanks. i check the all the wires no damage anywhere after doing that it works just fine now no issues but i will keep the trim solenoid in the picture if it happens again.
