Location: WI | My series 27 starting/deep cycle battery is getting weak. It starts a 90hp E-Tec & runs 2 Helix 7's. Do I just replace with the same Interstate combo battery? Or do I want to get a deep cycle just for the Birds & a separate starting battery?

| No need for two batteries but unless you were happy With how long the current battery lasted don't replace with the same. A batteries plus store, x2 agm in size 31 will run your setup like 4 days straight. Haha |

Those ×2 comes with 4 year warranty too! I just received the quote from our rep on 3 or 4 them since the company I work for sells a crap load of other batteries and I figured it would save me some money hehehe |

Be careful. It takes nearly ~ 12 Vdc to start an outboard, but only ~ 9 Vdc to run fish finders, trolling motors, misc electronics. So if not recharged long enough by the outboards generator the electronics can run the battery down to low to start the outboard. Just a note of caution is all. BTW I've has great luck with Interstate deep cycle batteries and the price is right. |

Yes, I can run ; Humminbird 999, 959, lowrance hds9t, garmin 922, livescope box, two separate livewells, dual powerpoles for 10 hours straight and I still have 12.2 volts on the bow sonars... look at the specs of this battery and you will see why I made the statement I did. |

Location: Northern Illinois | I have used Farm and Fleet Duration Extreme AGM batteries for the past 2 seasons with great results. They are reasonably priced for AGMs, about $200 for a 31 size, with a four year warranty. The specs aren't quite as impressive as the X2 but very impressive nonetheless at about 1/2 the cost. |

Location: north central wisconsin | When you say 'getting weak', is it an older battery, or have you recently upgraded electronics to notice it starting 'harder'? Reason I ask, is that I am looking at upgrading electronics this season(currently running a couple HDS units 10 and 7, along with a stereo for hours), and while I have no issue with starting, ever, I wonder if I should consider upgrading to a 27 from the present 24(weight is an issue in my Ranger 690T). With that having been said, I too run the Farm and Fleet Duration AGM batteries, and since making the switch, have been amazed with the longevity and headache mitigation afforded. I replaced my 5 year old trolling motor battery set a couple seasons ago, and put the old ones in my river rig which get's used a fair amount, and they're still running strong. Very impressive number of charge cycles they've endured.
