I am considering buying a 2019 side console 1775 Impact. Would appreciate any feedback from any current or past owners.

Also, for those of you who trolled with your 1775, which rod holders did you use and how did you mount them? Anyone use the Lund Pro Track down rigger bases with rod holders mounted on top of them?

Keith has one, and we really like it. All the rod holders are Lund Pro Trak, not sure which holders he has but I'm using Cannons on my 1625 Fury XL. Don't have downriggers on her yet, that's next year for the new Cannon Digi-Trolls.

Great ride and overall performance with a 115. Storage is good, plenty of room for all the gear. Front deck room is good, and the flip over rear double seat/deck rocks. Over all, a positive review, can't think of anything I'd change.

Trolling motor is an Ultrex networked with a Helix 8 and 7 Mega combination and a Talon. Smooth Moves Ultra seat bases. Lund stereo and interior LED lighting. Nice mid sized ride capable of handling rough stuff. Roller trailer with aftermarket front short bunks to hold her at launch until ready, if it's on a roller trailer you will want to add those.

well i use the CISCO LUND angled brackets. on top of that i use the FAT AZ holder that fits the DOWN EAST rod holder. have used them for 3+ years now with zero problems. have used DOWN EAST for over 30 years with just some minor worn out part replacement.

Had a 2014 1775 ss and loved it. Recently traded it in and bought a new 1875 ss this year. Really sweet ride. I would recommend not getting the flip down seat rather constructing your own back extension deck unless you have family in need the seats. Otherwise it’s wasted space underneath for storage.

I have a 2020 1775 SS and love it. It's powered by a 115 Merc Pro XS and a Mere 9.9 Pro Kicker. Boat runs mid 40's WOT. I used Cisco Lund mounts and Cisco Small Cradles for rod holders.Cisco are the only holders I trust. Great set up a a sweet boat. If you don't use Cisco rod holders I would still recommend their Lund trolling mounts. Easy on and off installation and the mounts are tapped for many different holders. If you have questions call them and ask. great customer service.

I don't need that much storage, and really like to be able to open up the cockpit with a quick flip of the deck. Put your hands on one before you decide.

We have a 2017 Lund Impact 1775 single console. Awesome boat for a family of 4. Huge fan of the fold down aft deck/seat option. Kids ride back there, then flip the deck down and start fishing. Had a couple years of research prior to finally pulling the trigger.

I use the Lund sport track mounts for rod holders. Then I bolt pedestal mount Folbe rod holders to the sport track bases. With the Merc 115 I can troll down to about 2.8 or 2.9. No regrets;it's been a great boat for our needs.

Thanks to sceryone who has commented so far. I really appreciate it. I have a family of four so it sounds like this may be a good choice.

Where is the best place to buy the Folbe holders from?

This boat is a head scratcher. It's an inch shy of 18' and has a 96" beam yet it's max HP is just 125? Except nobody makes a 125 so your only option is a 115.

For trolling, maybe the mounts and the 115hp make the Impact preferable, but this boat begs for a 150. Personally, I'd look at comparable options from Alumacraft, Crestliner, or G3 before buying the Lund.

I get them from Rollies. When you order or buy in store, make sure to get the correct base. They come in different base configurations.

I spent a long time researching this head scratcher. And you are correct - it's rated for a max HP of 125, which you can't find. Numerous other manufactures making boats in this class are also 125 HP. Except for Alumacraft... I think they are the only one. You can put a 150 on an Alumacraft Competitor 175 (which is nearly identical in beam and length to a Lund Impact 1775 and numerous other equivalents.)

My Lund runs 42ish with the 115 and trolls just fine so no complaints here.

My 1775 SS Impact runs 46 mph (WOT @ 6000 rpms) with just me in it. The boat jumps up on plane and handles like its on rails. The prop does not slip in a turn nor is it necessary to trim down the motor while turning It's powered by a Mercury Pro XS 115 with a SS four bladed prop and it handles rough water well. I have a friend with a 1875 Impact powered by a Mercury 150. His top speed is in the low 50s. Imo the savings in gas and cost for the up grade to a 150 far out way the additional expense that a larger engine would yield for 5-7 mph increase in top end speed. This boat preforms GREAT with the Merc Pro. I've had a variety of boats from high performance Bass Style boats to family Run a bouts. Imo this boat just flat out ROCKS!

I have an Alumacraft 175 Navigator. Is plenty wide 95" and just 4" short of 18ft it has a 4 stroke 150 Yamaha
I agree with "7over5" and if I had it to do over would get the 115.
Very seldom open it up and never in rough water anyway.
I guess, I'd go with the idea not to go less tha 80% of max recommended HP and am sure 115 would have been close enough and fine .. for me. Repeat, for me at least.
The 150 is a little thirsty and the extra gas would be nice on extended trips.
For me the 150 was overkill. Just MHO.

Thanks again everyone. I pulled the trigger on a new 2020 1775 Impact SS today. Its maiden voyage will be this weekend. Can’t say enough about the good folks at Hennepin Marine. Customer service during the entire process was absolutely top notch. They called all hands on deck and helped get the deal done and boat rigged in record time so that I could Take it on a family vaca tomorrow.

I'm also looking at one of these. Good timing for this thread. What length of rods can fit in the rod storage compartments? I know for example the fish hawk 1750 can hold rods longer than what it lists and am wondering if same applies here?

8' side rod lockers. Some say you can make a modification to extend that a couple inches? If so, I haven't tried it.

Center locker has two rows. Top row 7' and bottom row 6'6" I think?

I can store 9 ft rods in the add on tubes starboard side at least. Only two tubes but you can do 4 rods if you are careful. Rods are partially visible during storage and transport.Specs say 8 ft rod storage but thats tight in mine and it's 2020 model SS175. I would recommend the up grade to the 115 Mercury Pro. Great motor on this boat and worth the extra $500 and the SS prop is also worth the extra $$$ Imo. Great boat!
