| Was wondering if anyone is familiar with the Fishawk series by Crestliner?? I'm looking to get a new boat and found an awesome looking 1997 1750 Fishawk (tiller model) with a 60 hp Yamaha. Just curious if there was any particular concerns with the Fishawk boats...I've heard mostly great things about them. I'm wanting an older (cheaper) 17-18 ft tiller boat with a good rear casting deck and this boat seems to have it!! |

Location: Chisholm, MN | Excellent muskie boats. I have a 2013. One thing to watch for is the wood transom may have rot if it was stored outside. There is more information online than I can offer though. Look into it. |

| I had a '97 1750 Fish Hawk tiller with a 75 on it. Really liked it. No issues. After having been out of the game for a number of years just got back in and re-upped with a Crestliner 1650 Pro Tiller with a 75 Merc. Really like this boat too. |

| I think they are great boats. And, to be honest, I kind of like the lower decks on the older models. Love the casting decks front and back. Wish I'd have gotten a Fish Hawk instead of my Lund. |

| I've got a 2001 1750 and its still running strong. The shorelander trailer is a little weak in my opinion, but overall a very solid fishing platform. |

| Love my 1997 Crestliner 1750 with the lil 90hp two-stroke Johnson outboard. Mine is a dual console model however, not a tiller. So many Pros to my 1750 Crestliner:
- the 90hp two-stroke Johnson outboard still runs great. It's a two-stroke...the thing will probably run forever...
- The boat is still in great shape. I'm second owner. First owner was a bit rough with it however. I've never truly understood how someone could really beat the crap out of a boat's cosmetics, but..hey...it is what it is. And it works just fine for me. Since I've owned it, it's been stored indoors when the boat's not out on the water.
- it fits in my garage
- it's paid for
With where I'm at in life, in this phase and stage of life, with two kids soon to be graduating high school and going off to college, I don't see myself upgrading to a newer, new-to-me (used) boat any time soon. So...for the past 15 years this boat has served me, my family and my friends well. I foresee many more great years to come utilizing this boat. For the size of the waters that I fish...it's all that I need. It may look dated...it may have a dated engine, it may have dated electronics on-board...but...guess what: the boat floats, the engine runs and the electronics work. |

| Well...true. However...I DO still go over it with the towels after I pull the boat from the water, simply to clean it up and dry it off to prevent hard-water spots all over it. But I get what you're saying. Yeah...I'm not polishing it and waxing it or anything like that.
The fish don't give a ____ what the boat looks like...

| I have a 1999 1750 SC with a 90 hp Johnson that I purchased from the original owner in 2005. It has been a great boat. Nice casting deck in the bow and plenty of room on the back deck as well. I have replaced a couple deck lids that got soft but everything else is fine. For an aluminum hull it rides fine and is pretty dry. I have an 80lb minnkota on it and controls the boat just fine. It will fish three pretty comfortably if u don’t have a lot of gear lying all over. It’s been a great boat and I have never regretted buying it for the fishing I do in WI. |

Location: oswego, il | I have an '06 1750 with a 115 Opti and I love it. Like any older boat check the wood for softness and rot. You may find the 60 to be underpowered. My boat goes 42mph with my motor and the boat planes at about 17mph. You will like the boat but the motor you may not like as well if you are fishing big water. My guess is the boat will top out at 25-28mph with 2 people. |

| I've run mine for 10 years all over Minnesota and LOTW. Great boat. 2010 1750. When I bought mine I felt it had the best layout for it's length and price point for musky fishing. 10 years later I still feel the same way. |

| I bought a new 1650 Fishhawk in 2001 with a Yamaha F80. Still going strong. Great boat.
Spent at least 1 week per year on LOTW for I think 13 years with that boat.
19 years ago when I bought it was a couple thousand bucks cheaper than a comparable Alumacraft or Lund and I liked the layout better so it was a win win! |

| I’m looking at the Fishhawk 1750 and Ranger VS1782, both new. Any comments on either of these. Front casting deck space is my biggest concern, among others. Rod locker length? |
