| Anyone use a 10 ft Legend yet? St Croix advertises the heavy for double blades and the Extra Heavy for large rubbers. I primarily want it for double 10s and plan on the Heavy, but want to make sure the Heavy has enough back bone with the 10 ft length.

Location: Apparently where the Muskie aren't | I haven't used a 10 footer but I have a 9foot premier heavy and I wish I went with the Xheavy for double 10s and larger. It's great for baby and jr. Cowgirls but I feel underpowered with the double 10s. |

Location: MN | Just my preference, but I like the extra whip that I get out of longer H power rods, as compared to an XH. However, when I really need to crank the figure 8 with 10's, the extra backbone of an XH is what I need. Smaller bucktails--> Heavy power. Big 10s, 12s and 13s, --> XH |

Location: Land of the Musky | I have not specifically used a 10 ft Legend but I have used rods up to 10'6" and you will love this length or a rod for blades and swimbaits for sure!

Location: Thief River Falls MN | Some limited time with the 10' heavy Blademaster and I like it so far. Handles tens well and the extra foot on the eight is gonna be awesome on Eagle |

| I have a blade master 10' St Croix.
Awesome for blades, I casted bull dogs as well .
Figure 8s are giant.
Casts farther than a 9 foot rod all day.
Handles 10s awesome.
I got a few 40 inch on it.
St. Croix finally put a long handle on.
Didn't have to extend the handle like the Big Nastys. |

| I prefer the 12 footers. They work great when I'm throwing my 6 pounders and double 18's. They fit in the rod locker on my 30 foot deep V with the 500 hp outboard. There is even room for my super double magnum XXXL Kahuna net in the boat as well.
I have to agree with you horsehunter. When does it end? I'm not complaining, it's not as if I use 5 foot rods with Mepps Musky Killers, a bass net and a 12' aluminum fishing boat with a 9.9 hp motor, but everything just keeps getting bigger and bigger. It will be interesting to see where things continue to go. |

| I don't plan on ever trying a 10 footer because at that point I can't even bring it in the house. It's already hard enough to avoid smacking the 9' into every doorframe and finding a place to put it sometimes. |

| I can fit 9 footers in the cab of my truck. I can't fit one-piece 10's. 9's are where it ends for me.
From here I really think rods are just going to get lighter, more powerful, and more sensitive. You see it with the bass and walleye scenes. |
