Does anybody have experience with any of the 360 action cameras on the market today such as the 360fly, Garmin Virb, GoPro Fusion, or any of the other cameras on Amazon?

Each of their pros and cons but I am wondering how they work in a boat. The thought of only having to operate one camera is appealing.

I've had a samsung gear and a ricoh theta since they were first available. If you're shooting in a small room you'll be OK with 4 - 5.7K. The important thing to keep in mind is that once that image is stretched and stitched into a spherical image, it's not great quality. If you want the HD quality you get from a good action camera you'll have to drop the money on a real 360 camera set up which start around $2k.

Thank you very much Will! I appreciate the response. The concept and technology looks very interesting but it might be too soon. I've never shot any video but I've heard it can be a pain to manage while fishing.

Thanks
Keith
