I wore the Gore-Tex Merrill Moabs for about 10 years, but they are kind of hot in the sun. Last year I tried this running shoe made by Swiss Engineering ~ cool & amazingly comfortable!

Hooked. No need for the heavy braid. 10lb mono and a worm. What a bunch of... Guess all animals come out to eat at night. No need for bigger gauge.

Hemp shoes?

Amphetamine psychosis, perhaps.

Sketchers in the summer, LL Bean boots in the winter and Merrells in the spring and fall.

I the late 80's my grandma gave 100 dollars for Christmas and I bought a pair of Sparry top siders for 70 dollars and my depression era grandma was mad , These were made way better then what we they make today I had those to about 2010 or later. My grandma died in 1996 and I caught my personal best wearing these shoes in 1999. . As a kid in the 70's I went barefooted in my old wooden boat that leaked and you can tell how high the water got in my boat before I bailed by looking at the paint chips on my ankles. Went bare footed all summer, in the boat, walking down the dirt roads, in the woods, the only time I wore shoes is when I rode a bike (bare feet and spokes don't mix) My dad had (we still have um) a pair of Skechers's that were real lucky and he was kicking our butts so as a joke I put them on top of the fridge by the coffee. The first order of the day is to make coffee. So he found them. Boy I like the idea of sandles then going barefoot in the boat!

Working as a volunteer at the boat launch for Clean Boats/Clean Water was always struck by how many of the younger anglers wear flip-flops to go musky fishing. I am probably clumsier than the average guy but having had hooks in my fingers and hands, the idea of getting a hook from a lure left on the deck in my toe does not appeal. But that is clearly the choice for a lot younger guys.
