I had a few chewed up dawgs but the tails were still intact so I made some wood bodies and transplanted the tails...

screw into the back of body and cut the screw head off. Apply CA glue to body and screw and spray CA accelerant onto tail and press together - bonds the soft plastic to the epoxy coating - never had one loosen or get pulled off

I do the same...my tails are WAY smaller, so I was wondering if you were doing something different. Very cool looking bait, for sure! What's the action like on that thing? About 12 inches total?

9oz and 15 inches. Similar to a dawg but with more wobble and a more horizontal drop on the pause. Sink rate probably a bit slower than a dawg
