I'm repainting a jointed depth raider and was curious about how much epoxy to put on. Don't want too many coats to affect the action or too little to protect the lure. Thanks.

None !!! Shouldn't use epoxy topcoat on that bait--was not designed using it and it will most likely affect the action big time... Use the 2X topcoating--spray it----Need respirator but that is the type of finish put on most plastic baits.

SORRY MEANT 2K------------- typed it wrong... 2K clear topcoat spray--- only a 48 hr window to spray it once you break the seal---Heavy duty super Gloss--------You can buy it on Amazon and many other places---Works great---I wait until I get like 10 baits to spray at once... That way I use it all within the 48 hrs--Its not cheap---Like $15-25 per can depending on make.

do you know if the 2K has a bad chemical reaction if the coated lure comes in contact with soft plastics. I've had some plastic bait coatings "melt" where they were touching rubber baits

| I coated lure with two thin coats of epoxy. Lure still seems to have plenty of action. Here is a picture.
