I’m not as good with my electronics as I probably should be. It was mentioned to me on a different thread that you can use your electronics to locate the thermocline. Not sure of the best way to do this? Any suggestions? I’m using a helix 5. Maybe I need to upgrade? Thanks!!

I have an older Humminbird, and all I do is turn the sensitivity up, and the thermocline appears as a fuzzy line.

I've found it a bit dicey to locate the thermocline w a fish finder. Can't go wrong with a probe. A temperature gauge by Fish Hawk snaps on a line. Drop it down then pull up and read. Temps every 5 ft.
