For years one of my fav musky lakes was LCO in Sawyer county, WI. It seemed to go downhill after treated for run off from the cranberry Marsh. I have not fished it for about 5 years. Can anyone give any I site on musky fishing on LCO?

I don't know if I would blame the the whole issue on the cranberry marsh. There DNR removed a lot of pike from the lake this spring to try and help the musky fry survival rates. The lake has also suffered from lots of fish being speared during the winter in recent years.

Been a long time since I was there, but I remember always catching a ton of small pike. Never ran into a muskie and wasn't targeting them either. But the pike sure did taste good.

Any nice places to stay up there? Don't really have any plans of going up there anytime soon but it would be nice to hang out there for a while. Lots of good memories.
