Will be in Hayward for a few days in middle of July and will have the wife along. I would be content chasing trophies on the chip or Nam, but she has never caught a musky so I would like to try somewhere for a day that has a reasonable chance at any size fish. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Lost land and teal are what you are looking for. Decent action, but still a legitimate shot at fish over 40.

They are not fishing yet. Just trying to pick a lake.

Having grown up there I'd say Lost Land and Teal or Moose.
