Well the other day my trailer jack handle came off, there is a roll pin that holds it in place and it just sheared on the inside boat is a 99 I've owned it since 07 so I'm pretty sure its original i think I should just replace it rather than try to fix it i am a mechanic but just think it maybe best opton. I have not even opened it up but am sure gears, etc would be worn out. Anyhow it has a plate welded to trailer that jack bolts to I put down bolt pattern on piece of paper so I can match it up went to bass pro and none of theirs matched up, went to farm and fleet since I saw on their website they carry fulton which is the manufacturer and none of those lined up either , now I think my only option is to try and fix mine, contact ranger or fulton and see if they may carry an exact fit that will just bolt on directly. I really don't want to grind off existing plate and weld on new one , Anyone have the same issue, or any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks

Pretty sure that happened on a 681 I used to have. I ended up taking off the broken original jack and bolting on a replacement next to the welded on plate. It didn't look super-great, but it worked just fine.

I have a 690 and I couldn't find an exact match either so I also bolted a new one on next to the plate. If you find a match please post it.

I'm kinda particular about appearance so that is out of the question for me so far I have found a rebuild kit with new gears and rollpins for under $20 so that is an option , I will be calling ranger tomorrow to see if they have a direct bolt on available

I just went ahead and ordered it from ranger they assured me it was identical to the one I took off so direct bolt on $97 + shipping will find out in a couple days if its a direct replacement

I just replaced mine on 1998 Ranger R93 and I know the Plate you are talking...There is a 1000lb jack at walmart not in boat section its in trailer hitch and ball area...made by Reese its mounts #*^@ close but on my Ranger you can remover that plate and remount it to the new jack you bought and just like factory just did this last week hope that helps

one at Walmart is only $32

Thanks, but already got the new one from Ranger my old one was rated at 1200lbs new one 1250 and its nice and shiny, has a nicer handle , a zerk fitting for grease and tag says it has a 3 or warranty so Im happy, took all of 5 minutes to install, direct bolt on, no drilling or grinding, I think I made the right choice.
