Yes I feel the same. Some will say that IL Fish don't reproduce, that's true but it be nice to release Her and let another person catch her !!!!!

I wish they would stock the Upper Mississippi River strain (Leech Lake) in more lakes in Illinois. They get to 50 inches with regularity, even in our lakes. The lakes are not the problem.

With that being said... I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to fish and enjoy what everyone has come together to create - which is an unbelievable Muskellunge fishery. I hope everyone involved knows just how much their work and dedication means to everyone.

Everyone should travel to Illinois and fish for Muskellunge. The lakes really are beautiful. A 50 incher in Illinois is very rare and if caught - is an amazing feat.
