Portillos is literally across the street and there is Gino's East pizza 5 min away. If I was going to the show I would be hitting up the Mexican food though.

Portillos just to the west on the same side of the street. Plenty of places to eat around there, i will try and compile a list. Even a sushi place right by portillos. Downtown st charles has a bar scene and good eats too. Bring a musky pole and fish the dam for musky!

Well it depends. If you're measuring murder rates per capita, then pack shorts and t-shirts because I believe the top 10 are all located in Central and South America.

If that was a joke about Chicago, it tends to be fairly cold with potential for snow in January.

St. Charles is a cushy burb that is pretty far from the city. Just pack warm clothes and leave the "heat" at home.

You should probably pack a AR-15 haha just kidding, Chicago is no joke with the murders but you should be okay in the area. Pack warm clothes for sure because if a polar vortex swoops down it can easily get to -20 to -30 degrees with the wind chill.

There is so much good food in the area if you appreciate great cuisine try Mcnally's in St. Charles for dinner or brunch on Sunday with free refills on mimosas. Geneva IL 3 miles from the show hosts three of my favorite restaurants the Nobel house for great local craft beers and I would highly recommend the dynamite shrimp appetizer and the lobster roll. Bien Trucha has probably some of the best Mexican food north of the border and for the best burger and craft beer in the area I would go to Burger Local. Eating at portillos is great if your a tourist but worth a stop for lunch and is walking distance from the hotel.

The best mexican food is at los burritos on north avenue on the west side of st charles just before randall road. It is a family owned chain of three places. Best taco meat, pastor, horchatta and awesome mexican fruit shakes. This one is in an old pizza hut. Not upscale and the prices are pretty good. I have ate in little village where i had to point at the menu to show the waitresse what i wanted and this blows it away. Everyone i have taken to any of the three locations loves it.

There is a mall just down the street. If you bring a significant other, it is empty except for two anchor stores and the theater.

The one in lombard probably. That big burrito is the size of a small child. The baby burrito is pretty big. They know me at the villa park location. Its good stuff.

If you like sushi there is a decent place a football field west of portillos at the opposite end of the strip chipotle is on . Decent lunch special. There is a jimmy johns and a tai food place in the same strip.
