Does anyone know of a good video on YouTube on how to properly tie marabou spinners? I have tried a few and they have not turned out like I had hoped, I don't know if it is the marabou I bought off ebay or my lack of knowledge with marabou, I am betting on the later. Any tips would be great. Thanks guys. Have a great weekend.

Practice practice practice. Not one person ties a bucktail the same way. I do different knots than everyone else. Take your time and it will come. Make sure you keep applying glue for durability. It took me a out 25 baits before I really started to get good.

I just tied my first marabou and hackle one last night. I've tired marabou on flies before and I will say this was much more difficult

This nails it. I tie mine with no more than 4 feathers at a time, so they are spread out evenly. 1 layer, glue it in, and trin the shafts. Then more wrapping while the glue is wet. Let it dry mostly, but when still slightly wet, I add another layer, and repeat to the density I want. I use E thread, some guys use actual string. My first ones are falling apart with little use, but after I figured it out, the hold together well. I was just at the outing at Spring Bay and saw a green feather by the cabin. I worried it was from a bait I had made and sold to a buddy, but it was from one of his other baits... HA!
