Nash and Doyle WIN PMTT OPENER @CAVE RUN:
Well folks the final results have been posted, 96 teams gathered from across North America for the opening round of the 18th consecutive Professional musky Tournament Trail Season, representing some of the top sticks in the country contending for a nearly $20,000 first place Prize Package. Two days, just 15 hours.. with a chilly night and cloudy skies...an eager field went hard to work Saturday tallying 29 Musky registered and released. Day two saw foggy morning conditions, clearing high and blue before noon and 80 degree.... only four fish were coaxed to the net when all was said and done... firing up the good old rumor mill as contestants gathered for Final Virtual Weigh In.... Kevin Nash and Trail partner Richie Doyle are the official winners of the 2016 PMTT/Vitaminerals Spring Shootout at Cave Run Lake in the Daniel Boone National Forest just outside the friendly and very hospitable University City of Morehead Kentucky.

Kevin Nash has been one of the most successful Anglers on the professional tour since he first began competitively fishing it in the early 2000s with several top 10 finishes and a win or two under his belt during that span to help in eliminating much of the contentious speculation one would typically encounter having uttered such a bold remark... Kevin Nash IS by both "deed and length of tooth ", one of the Top Musky Hunters in America! Wins, money,consistency...personality .. way to get it done!

Conditions faced this week we're high pressure with accompanying hi blue bird Skies. Water temps came up from the high 50s to nearly 70 degrees by week's end. A cold front came in Thursday evening that lasted through the Full Moon Friday night into Tournament competition early* Saturday.... breaking near noon with scattered sun... clearing and chilly overnight, 47 degrees or so, foggy at morning ease-out... blue bird clear and warm till the clock ticked down @1:00pm. Conditions were generally SLOW with a near two hour bite window midmorning Saturday that saw many of the events 33Musky getting frisky.

Finding water Saturday morning that was even a couple of degrees warmer then surrounding areas with deep water access and standing Timber seemed to be a common factor. "Give me Stained or muddy water and am some timber",* was mentioned by eventual winner Kevin Nash as a real Plus for his tactics that are intended to elicit strikes from neutral muskellunge stating that all three fish that he registered & live released were indeed the only three fish that he saw that day... "Fishing for the strike" he shares that if things are working, fish are seldom seen or "moved" as is the common term in Musky Hunting... but an explosive and generally well-hooked Beast on the line... further extolling the virtues of a seasoned "Net Man" to a loud round of congratulatory applause from the gathered crowd of anglers and well wishers.

Others successful Anglers* finishing in the Top 10 found* wood, deeper water acess, water temperature AND crappie to be major ingredients for putting together a* high percentage game plan. Jigging* techniques* being successfully developed by the 2nd Place Team of Lance & Darrell Seasor moved one of only four* Musky Registered Sunday to back up their double Day one but just shy of a come from behind victory... this time.

There's still time... Register your Team now and earn a piece of the* nearly $250K up for grabs in the 18th Season*of North America`s Premier Professional Musky Tournament Circuit.. the 2016 PMTT! Plus you will have an opportunity to Qualify for the Top Honor in Musky Hunting... Top 35 ... by Invitation ONLY.. the prestigious*
