How do these usually work? I've never attended an outing, but would love to meet more musky nuts like myself. Do you normally find a boat partner and call in a reservation?

Yes there a plenty of 'Nuts' at these outing.
Most come with a boat partner but sometime there are singles.
And yes like Steve said... "It's a blast".

I'm going to try and find a boat partner. This seems like too good of a deal to pass up, with the opportunity to learn from more seasoned fishermen at the same time.

Evenings around the fire are a blast. Last year I was having too many issues with my knees after a full day of fishing to drag my butt to the fire. Got a set of bionic titanium knees in February so I'm looking forward to making the campfire in October. For you possible first timers, Steve and Joe run a class event and you won't regret it.

Yes, this is a great time with great people. We'll have a group of four up there again for the third year in a row.

Just booked for 2. I'm excited to chase a Vermilion fall giant! I've never been there in the fall, so hopefully I'll find some luck to go with the work.

Can someone let us know what is included with the fall event? I went on Spring Bay's website but wasn't able to find anything about the event on the website. I'm curious what the $225 covers....lodging, dockage, breakfast, lunch, dinner.......Any help would be appreciated as I am trying to line up a few fishing buddies to join the rest of you on what looks to be a great event, a lot of fun and great comradery with fellow enthusiasts.

Steve Worrell listed the phone numbers for Spring Bay above so please call to verify. We've gone the last 2 years and a meal was provided Wednesday night (pizza last year) and then the Saturday night awards dinner at the Landing restaurant a short drive (or walk) from the resort. There were lure give aways at the dinner. No dock charges, other meals are on your own. Nights by the fire pit sharing adult beverages and stories and lots of jokes are a blast. I've learned a lot from the group and look forward to it all year. Give them a call, you won't be dissappointed. Be careful of Scotty P's apple pie, it sneaks up on you.

If I could find a boat owner that needs a net man I would consider coming up. It's been too long.

Rudy, Ryan, and Sam are out due to many things. Then I couldn't get the week from work. I will be there the week before so I will test the fire pit out and get all the fish laughing and in a good mood for you guys. Hopefully I will see the Silver Fox there. If anyone else is there the same week I'll have a nice selection of bourbon and some cigars and an open boat seat. I'm bringing up 2 new guys to the V so I'll show them around for a day then I'm on my own unless maybe G' rome makes an appearance. Gonna miss you guys. Bill

I checked with Doc Dodge and he thinks it is higher than 9 out of 10.
Joe called yesterday and we are booked for the outing.
G Rome anything from you?

Somebody mentioned that there's sometimes group meals on the arrival day. Is this the case this year? I'm starting to plan out my supplies.
