Just went by one of the Biggest Electronic retailers and sure enough they are already camping out for the deals!!! Almost 36 hours until they start,
spend your thanksgiving in a parking lot in the cold.!!!!!
Medicine that cures cancer-I could understand that.
A photo opportunity with my arms around Charlize Theron for my Facebook profile??
"I WOULD do that"
But home electronics????????
However
Would there be ANY muskie Black friday materialistic one time deals that would cause you to camp out over nite on the cement in front of Thornes,Rollie & Helens,Reeds.or any other muskie shop. Not necessarily price busters but those lures and tackle that we're suddenly found in a warehouse that haven't been around for years and are no.longer available but "WOW" this lost cache of lost treasure is available first come first serve until their gone.
Anything worth it?????
Depending on the windchill and the recent news that my ahole six figure a year pompous cousin who annoyingly always loosens his belt at the table after eating the drumstick I never get WILL be attending this year.
I would camp.out for,,,,,,

Original Brett Erickson LOW RIDERs if I can have at least 3.
Year 2000 Huges River 8 inch shakers, ill take 6 of em.
A profesional edge jerkbait rod,,
And a George emu feather eagle tail,,should have bought em all when I was down his basement.
And last but not least I would not miss my Aunts homemade pumpkin pie if I knew I could get an original orange Frenchy creeper, I won't be selfish ill take just one.

Anything you would camp.for???????????????????

More realistically,,,,,, Both of us living in the twin cities do you think if I went over and camped on Duffs lawn on thanksgiving and said I wanted black Friday headlock s at half price with the ultimatum of "appease me or feed me" that would work?

Even at half off, his profit margin is pretty high.

If he doesn't value his time at all. Do you value yours?

your right Propster. His time is valuable. But compare those prices to any other musky bait . The material cost is no more than most other baits and less than some yet the cost is greatly more. No doubt he's living the Musky lure builders dream and God bless him for it! But I am correct in my statement earlier.

It's definitely something I wouldn't do. Every year people talk and complain about this. No one is asking you to go stand in line or in the cold for that long just to get a good deal. So I don't understand why it gets under peoples skin so bad.

Think of the silly stuff we do as fisherman or the money we spend on fishing gear or how long hunters sit in their stand in freezing cold weather only to have a baby doe come running through. My wife still doesn't why I would want to go out fishing at 9 pm and fish through the night all by myself. Just like I don't understand why her and my Mother wait in lines and fight crowds just to go shopping on Black Friday. To each his own I guess.

Everyone looking for the big score either saving money or getting that trophy. Seems pretty whack to see video of people getting in fist fights to save some $$ at Walmart but it happens every year.

If I could get a brand spanking new 1760T for say, $1000, I'd camp out overnight. If the deal isn't that good then it doesn't warrant "camping out" for me. As others have said "to each their own" but these days I can find amazing deals without wandering away from a fire in the fireplace, my cup of hot coffee, and the laptop in front of me.

Lowrance 12inch HDS Gen 3 touch sonar/gps might have got me out of the house. Those things are darn expensive.

I did the Black Friday thing for the first time this year. Got to BassPro at 3 am and got a Garmin echomap 73sv for $499.00. Save $500 off of original price. Saved myself $200 and got a nicer unit because I was going to get the gamin striker 7" sv for $500 when that came out but I would've had to buy a map chip with that one. I really didn't want to go stand in line but there were only 20 units at the store. I barely got mine because a bunch of people that got there ahead of me were buying 2. I never thought I would do Black Friday but I was in the market for a fish finder and this was just too good of a deal to pass up.
