We will pass that on. Good people at Lund Boats.

Steve....I'm getting pretty close to pulling the trigger on a XS, northern edition. Any word as to whether they have any different decal plans for the northern edition?

Thanks

I'd be interested to know if you could replace the ski pole setup with a pedestal chair.

Not the same base but there are seat bases on either side of the ski pole base.

Yeah I saw that, but they said they were for butt seats and I'd be wanting to put a regular chair seat back there, which is where the pedestal seat comes into play.

Not sure I'm understanding the question correctly, but you can put whatever kind of seat you want in the seat bases--it could be a butt seat or a chair seat, they both work with the same seat-base.

I was told yes. The bases are different from the floor to the ones on the deck. The front deck and rear deck seat bases are for the butt seat and the boat comes with one. My local dealer put a quote together for me that included a additional regular "Air Ride" seat, but with the butt seat pedestal so I can use it in the front or back just like the butt seat.

He also called Lund about the decals and was told they may offer something next year, but this years model will say "Bass" only.

I'm at 45k with cover, extra seat, 4 bank charger, 2x10inch Helix graphs and a 36 volt Terrova w/Ilink. I'm pretty tempted, but still not sure. I expected it to come in under 40. 45k is a stretch to me. My wife thinks I'm going senile early....

Thats wierd on the seat bases, not sure why they would use 2 diffrent bases especially since many people use both pdestal and chair on the decks. My lund had all the same bases, but that was an older boat so who knows. Im sure there's a way around it wthout breaking the bank...we're talking about a seat base here, Im betting if a dealer wants to make a $40,000+ sale they'll figure out a seat base if they can??

yeah, the 2 main seats are solid base non movable. The seat bases on the decks are not the usual bases Lund uses they're the kingpin style that a lot of bass boats use. You can get normal "sitting" height kingpin posts tho.

That's actually great to hear about the kingpin bases, I think they are WAY nicer than the other ones I've seen lund use, and the bases are way more readily available. If the decks use kingpin bases it'll be really easy to get good quality aftermarket bases to fit either pedestal or chair seats at a less-ridiculous price than the current Lund offering! I also hated the old-style raised bases when I was standing, frankly I'm surprised they didn't do this earlier. I checked out one of these boats recently at a boat show but hadn't noticed the seat bases, good to hear!

Anyone driven the new pro v bass with the 150hp merc? I know the old addage of "always max out your hp", but the idea of saving 3-4K at this price point is appealing.

There's going to be a lot of those boats sold with a 150 on them so I wouldn't worry about resale. A 150 is going to put you in the low 50s which is fast enough for most people. For people that want more speed, they probably won't be looking at the Pro V bass to begin with. There are other comparable boats out there with a 150 max rating so I wouldn't let the 200 max HP tag get in the way.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger this afternoon on a XS. In addition to putting a air ride seat on the back deck, they are also giving me a air ride seat for the front deck instead of the butt seat. I'm personally not big on the captain seats so this will work better for me. Especially when walleye/crappie jigging. I went with the Merc 150 4s, 2 Helix 10's SI and a Ulterra 36 volt.

Now the 5 week wait begins:) Pure torture...

Hey,guys have a few questions on the musky version of this boat.Do any of you guys troll for your muskies and this leads to,can you mount a 9.9 kicker to the transom. And also can you mount rod holders to the gunnels.

Thanks guys! Gonna be a long 5 weeks, but I have a super busy next month anyways with family obligations so that should help. Not much time to fish anyways until mid June.

Esox80 - Great looking boat! I had a really hard time deciding between the 150 and the 200. I changed my mind several times before settling on the 150. Have you had yours out yet for break in? How's it perform?

Bob690 - The dealer is adding 4 rod holders for me. They will go on the sport trak. I've never trolled for Musky before, but may try it a little. The dealer told me on a normal day, I'll will be able to just use the 112lb/36volt Ulterra. Depending on performance, I may or may not look into adding a kicker. I can't answer the specific question of a 9.9. Sorry.

Esox- that is an awesome looking boat. Those rims, fenders, and dual butt seats give your boat a great look. Usually not a fan of black but it looks great on these Lunds.

About the kicker motor- I emailed Lund about that when I was deciding since using a kicker is very important to me. Lund had no answer about the kicker at that time but that was in Nov/Dec. You could add a bracket but it is nice just to be able to put it on the transom.

Well Guys, took the new 1875 Pro V Bass XS out this weekend and idled around the lake for over an hour first per new motor instructions. But then was able to open her up and run around. Was surprised how well she handled. My first 19 footer but felt just like my 16s. Smooth and very stable - even in tight turns. The 200 just growls when you kick her down but 4 stroke quiet at trolling speeds. of course jumps out of the water and on plane at about 19 mph. My wife loaded the boat as usual when I backed in the trailer and it was easy even though she was very nervous. She gave me grief about a bit of a new boat woody when I hit the Ulterra auto-deploy. and the Talon worked well even in the 20 mph winds we had Saturday. Boat was extremely stable when fishing even with my 75 pound lab running around. and the huge front deck is so nice to fish off of even with the lab running around. Still learning the Helix's but big technology change over my HDS7s especially the side views. Only one weekend on her but I am in love.

She did 52 on the GPS but that was not wide open or trimmed as the wife was not happy to be going that fast. For the next 9 hours I have to alter the speed too. Lund tells me she should do 61. Probably be close.

Ya Lexi is too old to hunt anymore but she loves to fish. In the Fall she watches the straight line suckers boatside or the bobbers and gets all excited when a musky hits them. She gets to lick the fish my wife catches and loves that. But not the big muskies. she knows better.

It was a week late, but I just took delivery! I may get it out for a few hours this evening, but tomorrow is wide open for me so I'll take it on it's maiden voyage soon. I can't get over all the room this thing has. I can get both extra pro-ride seats and pedestals in one storage box and there's still room for the travel cover and poles.
