I wanted to thank everyone here for all the great tips and support. I completed my first Bucktail and wanted to share a photo. Its not near the quality I see here but I'm working towards that. Its two mag 8 blades, two 5/0 treble hooks. Its skunk hair and took pretty much an entire tail.

I'm a huckleberry for mag 8's and the skunk just ices the cake.
Looks great, just don't bring it in the house wet.

Did you buy the skunk tail or was it roadkill? I've been wanting to pick one up off the side of the road can't bring myself to put it in the suv

I purchased them online. The seller was in MN. They didn't smell when I got them at all. Not sure what will happen when it gets wet.
