Subject: Day 1 Cave Run PMTT, Vig and Matz lead

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin

Day one of the PMTT on Cave Run lake is under way. A total of 102 boats registered to fish the tournament. Water levels are at a record high and it looks like more rain is in the forecast for today and tomorrow. Possible thunder storms through out the day. Word is most of the teams will be fishing shallow and in the trees. Should be an interesting turn out for day one. Good numbers of fish were reported to have been caught during pre-fishing and a couple over four feet were boated in the last few days.

Reports from the water

Despite the high water and rain all morning fish are going pretty good, multiple fish caught already this morning, action has been steady from several different areas on the Cave.

Action has slowed but steady reports of a couple 40+ inch fish being caught.

Though the reports have slowed through the afternoon, under some terrible conditions and massively high water it was a pretty good day of fishing should be some very good totals.

Nash and Doyle are on the board with a 40.5''

Over twenty fish were boated on day one.

Top Ten on day one
1st- Austin Vig and Drew Matz with a 44.5'' and a 39.5''.

2nd- Joey White and David French with a 40'' and a 39.25''

3rd- Darrel Seasor and Jason Ritchie with a 44.25''

4th- Jason Hamernick and Ty Sennett with a 36.5''and a31.75''

5th- Chris Mahan and Mike Duche with a 42.5''

6th- Rob Kahl and Jordan Klingbeil witha 42''

7th- Matt Dixon and Gordon Dixon with a 42''

8th- Kevin Nash and Richie Doyle with a 40.5''

9th- Rory Tuft and Dick Heckel with a 40''
