My favorite so far is "What's the depth?" Yea, like it matters when you're not catching anything.

"time to chum the water" when ya gotta pee.

Be careful though, if people send EMTs, you're responsible for the cost.

Wouldn't it be awesome to be a guide and do this every day?- first few hours.
After a half day of nothing- those guides must be crazy.

-Eat it...just eat it.
-God I hate these fish. God I love these fish.
-I may believe in catch and release but if I catch that fish, I'm killing it.
-We should leave and just go home early (next cast a monster fish follows). Call your wife and ask if you can fish until 3 am.
-When you get home you should watch the GoPro footage over and over to see what you did to lose that fish.

Horror...the horror.

The loudest phrase is the utter silence after losing a fish in the net.

Only if an illegal guide just cut off my drift and has three customers on his boat. That is when you start screaming, "get the net this would make 10 for the day".

When asked how big a fish was that you lost, the standard answer is "lake record".
