Posts: 1663 Location: Kodiak, AK | Flambeauski - 8/22/2012 4:34 PM Esoxfly, does your line get tangled around the locater and trolling motor? Or do you stand far enough back that it isn't an issue? Nope. I use a stripping basket I made from a seat post. I actually like to stand as close as I can to the trolling motor and GPS to help keep the fly off the boat and not hit anything. Posts: 1663 Location: Kodiak, AK | Juhas - 8/22/2012 4:02 PM Jeff did you just say Sled had a purdy butt seat? I think Pride may not like that. Yeah I did...I hated having to sell it but I bought it thinking I'd need it for my bad leg but never did, and it didn't match my boat! Matches his like factory though. It was Pride's idea to sell it...

I've got a transponder hidden on it, so I'll always know where you are at. Seeing how you are so stingy with the info and won't help a guy out when he is struggling. See you on the lake in about a month. With that big boat I'll mark you down for two of the Guide for a Day clients. Carrie and I are going to the Chippewa Flowage second week of September, so I plan to get a jump on you. Edited by LarryO 8/24/2012 8:27 AM

Posts: 127 | haha, i figured someone would ask this. fortunately, i live right on the water so my jetta does not need to, and never does, tow my boat. instead i'll bribe my father or a friend to launch it for me in the spring with their truck and then pull it out in the fall. Posts: 392 Location: KY | Cband Your rig has more character than all the Ranger pictures put together. I can imagine skimming across 6-8" of water on plane, to get up river to the mouth of a little creek stacked with fish that never see a fisherman.

Posts: 477 Location: Iowa | BruceKY - 8/26/2012 7:20 AM Cband Your rig has more character than all the Ranger pictures put together. I can imagine skimming across 6-8" of water on plane, to get up river to the mouth of a little creek stacked with fish that never see a fisherman. I got rid of a 16' Jon Boat to get a Ranger. I sure miss that boat. With a 50hp console I could plane in 12 inches of water over soft bottom. Could sneak through 4 inches with just me in the boat. Bigger isn't always better, but it is for me at this phase of life with the kids. I'm sure I will have a smaller boat again some day, but hopefully as a second boat.

Posts: 68 | 1990 HydroStream Vasserret w/ an Evinrude 150 XP. Not meant to be a fishing boat, but with a few mods it works just fine. I built the front platform to fit over the front seats which is very stable & strong yet can be removed easily. Same for the bow mount trolling motor. Added a quick disconnect for the trolling/battery hookup for easy removal and charge. Takes less than 5 min either way to get set-up to fish, ski or cruise the lake with family/friends.
