| The last few months there was a thread for boat pics...a whole bunch of nice boats, and alot of profile shots.
Now that spring is (technically) approaching, and some of us are starting to get boats ready for the water, let's see the insides of them. Especially if you have done any custom work (e.g., casting decks, bait boxes, rod boxes/holders, trolling/outrigger/downrigger setups, etc.). I'm looking for some ideas and inspiration. |

I'm an aircraft mechanic by trade, so I can't stand crappy wiring and messes of wire...it's a pain to work on and impossible to deal with, should there be (Heaven forbid) a problem on the water. And keeping it simple and clean allows for easy cleaning and maintenance, and quick rectification should simple come up..easier to fix it early than to let it get bad and the problem grow.

LOL, where are you in MN? LED's are dead easy to install. Two wires and they mount very easy. |

Location: Hudson,WI | That gave me some great ideas. My battery terminals are full, and when they get full, they tend to look sloppy. So putting them on those bus bars not only makes it clean, and neat but easier to find what you're looking for  |

Location: Kodiak, AK | Just get everything labeled and check to make sure everything is tight... now instead of one wingnut, you've got like a dozen nuts and screws. You can put grounds on a common post or buss tucked away somewhere else. But this does help if/when something isn't working or giving you problems, you can troubleshoot just that circuit instead of having to undo the entire post. |

Location: With my son on the water | I have modified every boat I have owned.
I just got my boat out of storage yesterday so I staged a few photos (these are not my normal rods and net)
I have added to the back deck so the deck goes all the way to the transom.
I installed a tube on the starboard side where I can stick two 9 foot rods.
I put a rope on the end of my net handle and then put a snap on the console. I can leave a fish in the net and not worry about the net going overboard.
I added plastic downspout tubes to the front of my console to store baits.
But per my son, the best thing I ever did was put a carpeted board on the port side to seperate the net and rods, (the net is never tangled in lures or rod handles anymore)
I can't figure out how to get the pictures to take.

That's a Power Pole WavePak. It's basically an accumulator that allows the poles to stay engaged on the bottom in 2-3' waves. It comes from the factory with two little cheapo plastic clips like what you'd secure a small wire bundle with so I swapped them out for aluminum adel clamps with high temp sleeves. You got any pics of the lights. I have been trying to come up with some idea for night fishing, idealy I wanted to be able to clamp the lights on at night, plug them into the 12 volt socket and have A switch on the floor so I can step on the switch to turn the lights on + off. I got the idea but not sure what to use to make it work. |

Location: Lake St. Clair | The Casket isnt nearly full! I just got it this year. Here is a pic of my "rubber" half. Mind you those are pounders and you can easily fit two in one cube. There is a lot of room in this thing and there is a lot of work to do to fill it!

Location: Contrarian Island | it's something simply I copied from my buddy T-Dog but I've seen quite a few quys do it after seeing mine.... ram mount to a rod holder type thingy to keep your rods all nice and organized and not bouncing on the glass/windshield area. Buddy with a dual console put a ball on each side so he can move the ram side to side when fishing off either side.....
