The Tuffy X-190 is the first of a new series of boats from Tuffy, the "X" Performance-V Series. Lower profile multi-species boats designed specifically for the angler demanding greater performance, higher value, and increased versatility from their rig. From muskie to walleye to bass, no boat in its class will X(cross)-perform as well as the Tuffy X Series.
When compared with the Tuffy Deep V series, these boats run faster with less horsepower, allow access to "skinnier" water, and trailer and launch "lighter" due to their low profile design and single axle trailer. Yet, they still deliver the same wave crushing, soft, and quiet ride Tuffy is known for. This is due to the X-190's Performance V-Hull design combined with Tuffy's standard-setting hull laminate schedule and deck-to-liner one-piece fusion process, which literally creates a true, single-piece boat.
The X190 is available in single console, dual console, and tiller models with either an Osprey or Esox interior with a removable rear storage deck.
The X-190 will be unveiled at the Tuffy Boats Get-Together, September 21-23, Namakagon Lake, WI

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Yes, an additional rig is under consideration at this time according to Tuffy Boats' Marketing department. They tell me a full polyflake retail boat, motor, trailer package, stainless prop, fiberglass fenders, 150 Suzi or Merc, water ready should be about 31K plus extras and tax, 33K with a 200. |

| So, uh, I'm thinkin' that the line forms to the rear. That is really a sweet looking rig. If, in fact, it rides like the osprey, or better yet, my old Rampage (which I wish I still had), I'll be among the first to step up to the plate. |

| I must say that's one MEAN looking boat! Looks like she'll fly! How would this boat do on Mille Lacs, Green Bay, etc. Compared to the 1890 gt. I notice the v is much shallower than the 1890 how much will this affect rough water performance or none at all? |

| My buddy Dale was nice enough to drive the boat a little bit tonight so I could shoot some video of it running. Sorry, no 2 to 4 footers tonight but you should get an idea of how it runs and handles anyway. Still breaking the engine in. Will post a short clip soon. |

| 2 Questions...
1. Nice video...what was speed with the 175?
2. Some of us live not too far away from Namekogen... If a person wasn't directly involved in the Tuffy Shin-dig could that person still get a sneak preview of that boat if he were to drive up?
If so...call me at 715-579-7463, that looks worth taking the time to drive up and check it out.

If you are referring to the "Esox" or "Esox Deep V" interior, yes, there is a rear storage deck that installs with four bolts which converts the Osprey to an Esox interior.
If you are referring to the hull itself, the X-190 in an entirely new series of boats, the X Performance V Series.
The Deep V series and the Low Profile Series remain unchanged. |

| rather than being an "either/or" prospect between Deep-V or Performance-V hulls, think of it as "both/and".
what i mean is, the new X line of Tuffy boats adds yet another option for people to consider when trying to match the best boat to theirs needs based on waters fished and fishing style.
if you're looking for something that gets you a bit closer to the water, has a shallower draft, and will move very fast, this new X Performance V line of boats should be just the ticket for those needs.
if you're looking for a boat that offers a smoother ride in rough conditions, is moderately fast, and has tons of interior space, the Deep-V line is worth looking into.
if what you want is a wide-open casting deck layout, super shallow capability, and has extremely good water access, the Low-Profile hulls are right up your alley.

| Yes, anyone can feel free to stop by the get together to test drive the X-190 or the other boats available.
Top speed has not been determined, the motor is still in the break-in period. Short bursts up to WOT we have seen up to 61 full livewell, trolling motor batteries, full gas and 2 guys on the handheld GPS.
Conservatively speaking, we expect to see around 63 fully loaded with the 175 after break-in and engine height adjustment and propping tweaks are done. With a 200, even better, since it should be able to easily turn a 24P without sacrificing holeshot.
The boat as it sits now turns a 23P tempest at 5700 RPM's. |

| NICE....
I like to run my motors in the 3-4,200 range and that should put the new X in mid 30's to low 40's.. I.e. 3500 RPM = close to 35 mph. With room to run from a storm if needed.
I may have to run up there Sat.
Curious on rod locker length. I see it's got the same design as current lineup. Awesome rod lockers. How long of a rod will fit in the new X series?

| How does this differ from a bass boat design, with the exception of the rear deck design? Seems similar to the new Warrior bass boat's hull. Is this a deeper v?
This is a sincere question -- it's a great looking boat and this is not a criticism! |
