Well I have been busy in the basement making some more new colors and completing a few new bodies. Along with going back to the drawing board on another. .

I would thought i would share the 13" bait i completed a couple weeks ago. I made 2 lips for this bait. One that will achieve 40ft with 90ft of 10lb braid, the other i estimate will go to 20-25 ft. I am confident that 20 lb will also go to 40 with a longer lead. You should see this thing pull. It pulls like a Mac Truck and has an even better pound. The two baits shown are the original prototypes. They have got a few scratches on the lips from testing. Hopefully i can get them some teeth marks this fall! The colors posted are one of my walleye version's and smallmouth bass. The thickness of the lexan is 3/16.

Also i am posting a few pics of some new 10 inch colors.

Enjoy!

10lb diameter BRAID. Which is 40-50 strength. I wanted to use heavier, but that is all i had on the boat at the time. 10lb mono would not stand a reasonable chance and 5 mph. Sorry for the confusion.

Well when your trying to figure out a dive curve diameter matter's more than strength. Thats why i mentioned it. i myself always use diameter only because i know what will hold the species i am fishing. While i know others use the strength. And last i checked both rating's were on the front of the package of power pro. Would i use anything less than fifteen diam for a bait like the thirteen. Heck no. But its what i had at the time.

Here are a few other old colors in the new BIG baits. I wanted to post a few pictures before i sent them to my buddy.

The pike was sorta tricky. i do not think i have ever spent so much time on a stencil. In the end it was worth it!/

Well its time to kick off the 2011/2012 building season for me. I am just about in full swing. That is if the honey do list does not grow too long. Here are some more recent baits i have made.

Those are great!  They are very realistic.  What kind of hooks are those double hooks?  I’d like to try some of those

The ones I buy are gamakastu. However they are not the tuna version. I think they are the double 23 and 24s. They only come in sizes 3/0 and 4/0. They are pricey but the quality is great. They are also called froghooks. Owner makes a good version too. When I get home I will get the code.

I have been busy in the basement as you guys can see. I have been torn between my wife's list of things to do and my own! If only she could understand that fishing lures are more important than the laundry room!

Here are the 9" minnow and 5.75" shad baits I have been working on. The blue gill and baby bass are my favorites. I spent way too much time with the bass but it really paid off in the end.

I always wanted to focus on the paint. Some of the angles that i take pictures of the lures includes the lip. I will take a few in the next day or so and post them! Great suggestion.

Thanks again for all the compliments. I am trying to foil a couple lures right now. It's something new for me and does not appear too difficult. Hopefully they turn out good.

Those are great, nice baits!  I received those double hooks like you have. They are really nice like you said. Myself and some others are going to fish them next summer, I believe they may hook up better.  Have you had any issues with fish coming unpinned once hooked? Thanks

The lips are round. I will post a picture a little later if i have the opportunity this evening. I want to fool around with the other shapes to see what will happen to the action.
