Rollie and Helen's had them last weekend. I think limited colors but give them a call. I don't think they are listed for sale on the online catalog. Best of luck with throwing them.

Was in Rollies yesterday and they had them...I think the limit has been reached - I am sure someone will catch a huge fish on one, but seeing that thing made me wish I was an orthopoedic surgeon specializing in shoulders in northern wisconsin

Wow! Those make the magnums right beside them look like a bass bait! Did you by chance happen to see the price that they were selling them for?

I've been throwing a 2#er all year with a 6'10" Heavy Fig Rig Tooth Tamer. I know it exceeds the weight limit but info is info! It's not THAT bad, I've thrown it as long as 2 hours without dying. Makes a pounder feel like a baby Suick. My tournament partner Mark Gillich pounded a Vilas Co. 51.25" on a 2#er last week during the full moon. It ate the bait, little was sticking out of the mouth...I had a 36" try to spawn with it I think...

Do any of your states require you to register these as personal watercraft? m

This just blows my mind.....not the size...but what everyone is willing to pay for a chunk of plastic and some internal harnesses.

To say a pounder is worth 26$....even worse to say you can justify the mark up of a 2 pounder to 40$.....give me a break......

Somebody is doing alright on this deal....

Why does big have to be so darn more expensive?? I never got that part of the human brain.....

I understand some of the prices for jerkbaits etc that take some serious time and tinkering to wieght them each, paint, etc etc.....

yes the molds are expensive for these....But...not to justify this kinds of prices...

But us stupid muskie fisherman can justify spending 40$ on a bait that MIGHT last 2-3 fish....

thats just nuts...

OK, I am don't ranting now....

Time to place my order for some of these monsters...

I think Brad is sitting on the beach in the Bahamas sipping a fruity drink with an umbrella laughing all the way to the bank!!
i agree, the price is nuts..
what I don't like and this isn't a bash but an observation the plastic has gotten TOO soft in the Pounders and uptown mags and they don't hold up..heck i have a pounder coming apart at the nose and splitting in 2 on the belly and it has only been hit 2 times by a fish....for 30 bucks? why can't the chinese make them a bit harder..or is it just so us schmucks have to shell out another 30 to replace it after the propane torch doesn't fix it anymore...???????

from what i gathered the tail on these is extremely long and it does not hold up well at all so that is one of the reasons i didnt buy one, i thought of buying one and putting it next to one of those giant rapala's or hang it under my bobber cooler and go cruise threw the channels

Supply & Demand.... I don't see it being any different than what people spend on custom baits really. Hey, think of it this way.. You're getting a Dawg at $20 per lb instead of $26 per lb like Pounders! That's a DEAL!

I'll buy a couple, they will be worth alot more in October when they are all sold out of stores and the first 50 lber on Mille Lacs hits one.. Maybe I'll sell mine for $100 per lure...

Like many here I'll probalby buy one (or three), and I realize trophy hunting isn't the same as regular musky fishing, but I can't help but wonder how long this craze will last. I was in one of these stores looking at some 14" jakes and I almost bought one when it hit me. Since when do I want to throw a bait big enough to potentially turn away a 40"er? I want to catch big fish and target big fish but man, I just like catching muskies in general as well. How many state record muskies were caught on a jig and minnow? Not saying thats a bait to use to target big muskies but I wonder if we aren't just costing ourselves fish in the long run. Not to mention when I blissfully go to check out at thorne bros. a mere 3 lures costs me 100$ and you know full well I can't go in there and only buy 3!

I do however realize that fish that have seen it all can be moved on some of these baits, and that the double cowgirls and magdawgs, along with 10 Jakes and other baits have already proven there worth for catching big fish. So I guess time will tell whether heaving these big baits all day will be a long term reliable trend or not. But wheres the 1.5 pounder? WHy double it right away, is the four pounder for $70 dollars going to be the next big thing? All I know is when someone has a 50" female try to spawn with one its offically gone too far. LOL

Well, that looks like pegboard with 1-inch hole spacing that they're hanging from, so they look to be approximately 2 feet long...

I am gonna pick up a few pounders and maybe a 2 pounder for next weekend....just trying to decide if I want to drop the extra cash on the MI rod for something that I will only be throwing in certain situations. Does anyone have any other recommendations for a rod that won't break the bank and will still be able to handle throwing baits of this size? I can't imagine I will be throwing them all that much but don't want to risk busting one of my 7'6" or 8' HVY Tooth Tamers.
