This spring I want to put a kicker on my boat. The large motor is a 2012 optimax. Are there any good places to look for a used 9.9 kicker 2010-2014?

You can buy a new 8hp for the going rates on used newer 9.9's.

i'm not sure an 8hp would give me the power i need for a tuffy x190?

You want a motor designed as a kicker. Go with a ProKicker 9.9 or even a 15.

Put up WTB here in the classifieds, and other sites like Walleye Central, The Next Bite, etc. Keep searching Craigslist, and dealers, newspapers.
